Tureniec Gets Away
EPT Copenhagen winner Michael Tureniec had started the day off with some profit but just lost most of it in an interesting pot. The Swede raised to 2,100 from early position and he got two callers. The flop came down and after the big blind checked, Tureniec bet 3,600 and he got called by the opponent who was in position.
The turn was the and Tureniec opted to check-call the 4,800 bet. On the river the fourth spade appeared when the popped up. Tureniec checked again and his opponent tanked for a good minute. Then he checked and said, "I got the queen high flush". Tureniec re-checked his cards and mucked as his opponent turned over . Dominik Nitsche seemed amazed by this play and pulled out some weird looks as he was staring at the board. The table remained silent as Tureniec re-counted his stack which came down to 42,000.
We don't know what Tureniec had but his losses were held to a minimum in this hand.
