Welcome to the 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event Final Table!
Welcome to the fifth and final day of the 2013 Aussie Millions Main Event. What started with 629 players is down to the final table of 7. Leading the pack is a familiar face at the Aussie Millions, Dan Shak. The American, who won the $100,000 Challenge back in 2010 and finished fourth in it earlier in the week for AU$237,000, begins the final table with 3,775,000.
It is there that he'll be joined by the likes of Patrik Antonius, Mervin Chan, Jay Tan, Jarrod Glennon, Joseph Cabret and [Removed:17]. Obviously the fan favorite is Antonius, who finished Day 1c of this tournament as chip leader and never looked back. The deep runs of both Shak and Antonius prevented them, as well as Phil Ivey (30th place for AU$35,000) from playing in this year's $250,000 Challenge, which was won last night by Sam Trickett. As such, they're both hungry to make up for it by capturing the $1,600,000 first-place prize and accompanying automobile.
Other payouts include: 2nd-AU$1,000,000; 3rd-AU$600,000; 4th-AU$400,000; 5th-AU$290,000; and 6th-AU$220,000.
In addition, Tan is trying to best her boyfriend "Hong Kong" Kenny Wong's runner-up finish in last year's Aussie Millions Main Event, and Cabret is representing the local Melbourne contingent, so you might say he has home-field advantage.
Here's a look at how the final table stacks up:
