Big Double for the Defending Champ
Level 20
: 6,000/12,000, 2,000 ante
We missed the exact amount, but we do know Ryan Yu opened from the cutoff and Ami Barer three-bet from the cutoff. The button and blinds all folded, and the Yu pushed back with a four-bet to roughly 150,000. Not to be outdone, Barer five-bet to 263,000 and then called off for 717,000 after Yu six-bet shoved.

Barer was looking to avoid any tomfoolery, and he did so on the flop. The turn was dangerous as Yu picked up a flush draw, but Barer managed to avoid it as the safely peeled off on the river. It was a big double for the reigning champ, and a title defense could very well be in the cards.
