Many of the former Aussie Millions Main Event winners always manage to find their way to the biggest poker tournament on the Southern Hemisphere, and this year that's no different. The 2012 champion, Oliver Speidel, took home $1,600,000 for his victory and today he's back giving it another shot.
Speidel beat Kenny Wong from Hong Kong heads up, while notable Canadians Yann Dion and Daniel Idema also made the final table. Since then Speidel has not played many international events, and his last live result dates back to the 2013 Aussie Millions when he finished second in the $1,100 Mix Max for $25,000.
Speidel sits tenth on the Aussie Millions all-time money list with just shy of two-million in live tournament earnings.
