Trickett Loses Back to Back Hands
Sam Trickett is having a rough time of it losing back to back hands. In the first, a player sitting under the gun opened to 900 with Trickett making the call from the cutoff and both the button and Bryan Huang in the big blind also calling to take the action four-way to a flop.
After Huang checked the original raiser continuation bet 1,500 with only Trickett making the call. The turn brought another bet from the under the gun preflop raiser, this time for a slightly larger 3,200 which Trickett again called.
The river is the bringing four to a diamond flush and the under the gun player fired the third barrel for 5,600. Trickett sighed, looking distinctly unhappy at this turn of events before hitting the think tank hard, but eventually giving it up to drop down to 29,000.
Trickett opened to 1,000 from the hi-jack the following hand only to see the button three-bet to 2,900 in total. Trickett called and the flop fell . Trickett checked and the button fired out a bet of 2,600, which Trickett called fairly quickly.
The turn brought another check from Trickett and a second barrel from the button, this time a substantially larger 9,000.
With what looked to be 23,500 or so behind Trickett looked to be in a tough spot.
Is this a re-buy? Trickett asked the dealer, only to be told no.
That feels a bit bluffy. Said Trickett, mulling over his options and tanking for a couple of minutes but he does eventually find the fold.
