Wendlandt Under Pressure
With 90-minute levels right off the bat and 300 big blinds to start with, one would expect pots to be small and players feeling each other out. It certainly wasn't the case over at table 35 in the far corner of the room, where Henning Wendlandt and Nabil Edgtton directly locked horns in a massive clash.
Just previously, the German had tried to get Edgtton off a pair of aces when betting the 
river for 1,700 out of the small blind. There were 2,700 in the middle and Edgtton called to claim the pot with

In a cutoff against button situation, Wendlandt had checked to Edgtton on a 
board. Edgtton bet 4,000, Wendlandt check-raised to 10,000 and Edgtton called in position.
On the river, Wendlandt bet 6,800 and Edgtton took around a minute before moving all in. Wendlandt went deep in the tank while literally every other player at the table, except for Edgtton, walked away to discuss the hand in progress. The German took nearly three minutes, then opted to save his remaining stack and made the fold.
