Wardlaw Lays Down Top Pair After Overbet from Cummins
Charles Wardlaw raised from the small blind and Norman Cummins defended from the big blind.
The flop came jack-high with two clubs on board and Wardlaw continued with a bet of 700. His opponent snap-raised all-in for around 23,000, which caught Wardlaw offguard.
"It's like how much into what?! Daaaayum!" Wardlaw observed. "What an overbet. And you've been playing so passive all day. Top pair no good?"
At this point in the hand, Wardlaw tabled face-up as he thought through his decision. Wardlaw, who played in the opening event a few days ago with a heap of cash in front of him, eventually folded his top pair before pulling out a shiny watch and golden card protector to up the intimidation factor.
"I need to let him know I'm gonna call next time!" said Wardlaw.
