Day 1b Action

Day 1b attracted 121 runners to outpace yesterday's field of 76 by a significant margin. A few of the players who were in the field early but didn't survive to bag include Moose David Hughes, Brenda Miller, Matthew Sundberg, Gregory Salem and Gloria Jackson.

A notable hand took place early in the day when Pete Miller and Charles Clement flopped the same house, with both players holding ace-nine as the flop came {9-Hearts}{a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds}. Someone calculate the odds of that one. Unfortunately for both players, neither of them were able to advance to Day 2.

Ben Scrogins played late into the day hoping to join Mroczkowski in bagging both Day 1a and 1b, but he was eliminated before the end of play. Mroczkowski, meanwhile, said he plans on playing Day 1c in an effort to bag three times.

All players will be in the money and become "mystery bounties" on Day 2 on Sunday, with a $50,000 bounty up for grabs.

Day 1c will kick off Saturday at noon local time and follow the same structure as the first two flights. Stay tuned as PokerNews will be on-site and ready to report on the Day 1c action.
