Action was caught on the turn with the K?8?9?2? board on show. Jim Farrelly bet 4,600 from under the gun, and Sean Alper called from the cutoff. The 2? completed the board, and Farrelly fired for 5,500. Alper quickly called.
Farrelly had a pair of kings with his KxQx, but Alper had A?K? for a pair of kings with an ace kicker to claim the pot.
Ethan Yau opened to 1,000 from the button the following hand, and Farrelly called from the big blind. The Q?5?7? flop checked through to the 6? turn. Farrelly bet 1,200 and was called. He sized up to 3,500 on the 4? river, and Yau quickly called.
Farrelly tabled the 9?8? for the nut-straight and Yau mucked.
On a heads-up flop of 2?6?3?, Alan Goasdoue checked to Eric Yanovsky who then bet 3,500 into the pot of around 5,000 but then Goasdoue check-raised him to 9,000.
Yanovsky did not think that number was quite large enough and clicked it back to 18,000.
Goasdoue looked slightly puzzled by this move but eventually made the call and the two players went ot the turn J?.
Goasdoue checked to Yanovsky, who then thought for a few moments before he announced that he was all in for around 23,000.
Goasdoue then went deep into the tank for several minutes, during which point he and Yanovsky engaged in some table talk.
"You've either got ace-five of hearts or pocket nines, huh?" Yanovsky said to him, "What are you thinking about so much?"
"Oh, I'm just counting the butterflies," Goasdoue joked as he pointed to Aria's interior decor.
After another minute of this, Goasdoue finally made the call and indeed had 9?9? just as Yanovsky predicted while he himself rolled over J?J? for top set of jacks.
"See! I don't bluff!" Yanovsky declared as the board completed with the 8? to secure his victory in the massive pot.
Yanovsky now is sitting with a huge stack of 95,000 while Goasdoue is left with around 8,000.
The under-the-gun player opened to 700 before Malcolm Glenn-Adams three-bet to 2,400 from the button. The original raiser then reraised to 7,100 and Glenn-Adams called.
Glenn-Adams called a bet of 7,100 on the 8?7?4? flop, which brought in the A? turn. The under-the-gun player then moved all in and Glenn-Adams called off his remaining 16,700.

Two premiums hands were tabled but Glenn-Adams was ahead thanks to pairing his ace on the turn. The 3? river ensured his double up. The original raiser was displeased with the outcome as he was slamming his chips on the table as the pot was pushed to his opponent.
The BetMGM Poker Championship is scheduled over five days (June 9-13), which includes two starting flights followed by Days 2, 3, and 4.
Day 1a, 1b, and 2 all get underway at noon local time, with Day 3 beginning at 1 p.m. and moving to the PokerGO Studio. Day 4, when the final table forms, is scheduled to start at 3 p.m. and will be live-streamed.
A stacked field is expected, with some of poker's biggest names taking some time away from the 2023 World Series of Poker to make the short journey to the ARIA poker room. Also among the field will be the 100 or so qualifiers who booked their seat for a fraction of the price on BetMGM Poker.
For the $3,500 buy-in, players receive a 40,000 starting stack and must navigate ten 60-minute levels to advance to Day 2. The tournament permits one reentry per flight, with late registration closing after Level 8 (approx. 9 p.m.). Players will receive a 15-minute break every two levels, and pre-purchased seats will have their chips in play from the beginning. This year's flagship tournament instalment has also doubled the guarantee to $2 million!
The starting flights will play nine-handed, while from Day 2, all tables will be eight-handed. The unofficial final table will start when nine players remain, with the official final table set when the tournament is down to its last seven entrants.
A 30-second shot clock will be introduced one full table outside the posted payouts. The number of time extensions given to the players will be based on field size. Approximately 1 in 8 entries (12.5%) will make the money.

The inaugural tournament saw 343 entries, creating the $1.1 million prize pool. And among those to grab a large slice of that was Benji Felson, who finished in fifth place for $51,587. Felson, the last BetMGM Poker qualifier standing, satellited into the tournament for just $500.
