Johannes Mueller Wins Event 18: $560 Omaha Eight-or-Better Semi-Turbo
Johannes Mueller claimed first place in Event 18 here at Borgata Winter Poker Open as part of a five-way chop. The big bets were 100,000 at that point, leaving only about 17 big bets total between the five survivors' stacks. Instead of rolling the dice on what basically amounted to a crapshoot, the players came to an agreeable deal.
Mueller had been the overwhelming chip leader with about half of the chips in play when the deal was made.
"Not bad for never playing in an Omaha tournament," he said.
