Timothy Rutherford raised to 1,600 from the button and Qi Hu shoved. Rutherford asked for a count and the dealer confirmed Hu had 21,600, so more than Rutherford. He took some time to contemplate and then made the call for the 18,400 he had behind.

Timothy Rutherford: {a-Spades}{9-Clubs}
Qi Hu: {7-Spades}{7-Hearts}

The board ran out {4-Hearts}{q-Clubs}{6-Spades}{5-Hearts}{3-Clubs} for Hu to hold with the pair of sevens to claim the first game to his name before they both agreed to go for a short break.

Arian Stolt
Arian Stolt

The board read {6-Clubs}{8-Spades}{q-Spades}{k-Hearts} when Matthew Emmel bet 2,000 and Arian Stolt shoved with the bigger stack on the button. Emmel called for the 10,800 he had left.

Matthew Emmel: {q-Clubs}{10-Spades}
Arian Stolt: {q-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds}

Emmel had a pair of queens but Stolt had two pair so Emmel needed a ten to stay alive.

But the river completed the board with the {2-Clubs} for the first game to go Stolt's way, the players went for a short break before starting their second game.
