The 2020 Borgata Winter Poker Open crowned another winner in Event #18: $1,560 Purple Chip Bounty and emerging victorious was Alberto Sabogali, who best a field of 164 entries to take down the $46,929 first-place prize, along with a Borgata trophy.
Sabogali has amassed over $700,000 in live career earnings and now has his second cash of the year just a week after getting fourth place in a $600 Wynn tournament for $12,903. The Bogota, Colombia native collected his largest career cash for $46,929, plus 16 bounties throughout the day.
The day was not without obstacle for Sabogali as he faced a tough final table that included the likes of Fikret Kovac (2nd - $26,248), Emile Schiff (5th - $9,545), Tony Dunst (8th - $4,772), and Amnon Filippi (9th - $3,579). The most well-known player being Dunst who started the final table just behind Sabogali in the chip counts but quickly spiraled into an eighth-place finish.
