Anderson Pushes Martinez Off the Pot

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
James Anderson
James Anderson

Jesus Martinez opened for 125,000 from the cutoff and James Anderson (button) made it 325,000 to play. Martinez called.

The flop fell {j-Spades}{9-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} and both players checked to see the {3-Hearts} land on the turn. Martinez checked, Anderson bet 280,000, Martinez raised to 875,000 and Anderson called.

The {10-Hearts} river elicited another check from Martinez and Anderson bet 1.1 million, not coincidentally the amount Martinez had left. He opted to release his hand and Anderson took the pot.

Zakarian Takes Huge Pot From Serda

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Veerab Zakarian
Veerab Zakarian

On the river, the board read {q-Clubs}{9-Clubs}{5-Clubs}{k-Diamonds}{9-Spades} and Patrick Serda (sb) bet 400,000. Veerab Zakarian made it an even 2 million and Serda called, showing {k-Clubs}{j-Clubs} for the second-nut-flush. Zakarian had him pipped with {a-Clubs}{8-Clubs} for the nut-flush to take the pot.

Marmen Doubles Through Queen

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Derek Marmen
Derek Marmen

After Bin Weng opened for 110,000, Derek Marmen (cutoff) moved in for 645,000. Alex Queen (small blind) moved in over the top, getting Weng to fold ({4-Spades}{4-Clubs}) and isolating Marmen.

It didn't help, however, as Marmen was way ahead with {k-Diamonds}{k-Clubs} and Queen's {a-Spades}{k-Hearts} was in bad shape. The board ran out {7-Hearts}{2-Spades}{2-Diamonds}{j-Spades}{q-Diamonds} and Marmen doubled up.

Anderson Scoops Pot Against Hall

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante

Brandon Hall raised to 110,000 from under the gun and was called by James Anderson on the button while the rest folded.

The action on the {7-Diamonds}{2-Hearts}{7-Spades} flop is unknown but Hall check-called a bet of 375,000 of Anderson on the {10-Spades} turn.

The river completed the board with the {6-Clubs} and Hall checked for the last time. Anderson bet 800,000 and Hall tanked, used a time extension and then made the call. Anderson tabled {a-Clubs}{a-Diamonds} for two pair and that was enough to Hall to muck his hand.

Veerab Zakarian
Veerab Zakarian

Patrick Serda raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and Veerab Zakarian three-bet to 500,000 from the small blind. Brian Altman folded his big blind and Serda took a few seconds before making the call.

The flop brought them the {2-Clubs}{9-Diamonds}{7-Spades}, Zakarian bet 550,000 and Serda called.

The turn was the {7-Hearts} and both players checked to the {j-Spades} on the river. Zakarian bet 2,000,000 and Serda called but mucked when Zakarian tabled {j-Hearts}{j-Diamonds} for the rivered full house.

Waxman Doubles Up

Level 26 : 30,000/50,000, 50,000 ante
Matt Waxman
Matt Waxman

Bin Weng raised to 110,000 from the hijack and Matthew Waxman three-bet to 670,000 from the button, leaving himself a mere 5,000 chip. Action folded back to Weng who shoved. Waxman took some time to await the action on the other tables before putting his last chip in.

Matthew Waxman: {4-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}
Bin Weng: {9-Spades}{9-Hearts}

The board ran out {7-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}{j-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{a-Clubs} for Waxman to turn a set to double up with.

Jeremy McLaughlin
Jeremy McLaughlin

Jeremy McLaughlin (cutoff) moved in for 875,000, getting called by Andrew Hanna (sb) with {a-Spades}{q-Hearts}. McLaughlin's {a-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} needed help or he was headed for the rail.

The board fell {10-Spades}{6-Spades}{5-Diamonds}{a-Clubs}{q-Clubs} and was of no use to McLaughlin, who exited the event in 18th place ($28,624).
