Tons of Action Expected on Day 2 of the Cash Game Festival London
Welcome to Day 2 of the Summer-edition of the 2018 Cash Game Festival London at Aspers Casino Westfield Stratford City.
When the first day ended and the second day began isn't perfectly clear. This is due to six tables running throughout the night and into the afternoon.
Today is expected to be another epic day both on and away from the poker tables. The weather has been absolutely perfect in the English capital and many players have messaged in sharing they are enjoying what London has to offer away from the casino.
As was the case on Day 1, today will feature two feature tables co-hosted by PokerNews Editor Jason Glatzer alongside Cash Game Festival's Henry Kilbane and George Sandford.
The first table kicks off at 6 p.m. GMT featuring three 32Red Poker qualifiers including Edgars Armans, Isak Bergstr?m, and Philip Droney with stakes at 2/2 pot-limit Omaha. You can check out the action at the Cash Game Festival Twitch channel and in our PokerNews coverage.
After a short break, the game will change to 5/5 no-limit hold'em. Cash Game Festival regulars Joe Robinson, Manoj Mohindra, and Jason Wong are among the players confirmed in the line-up.
These players and others competing at the feature table today have their eyes on the beautiful Cash Game Festival trophy, which will be awarded to the player that wins the most big blinds on any of the 10 main televised feature tables. Cash Game Festival Co-Founder Martin "Franke" von Zweigbergk currently holds the lead after Day 1 after winning 1,500 on a 2/2 pot-limit Omaha table for a profit of 750 big blinds.
Von Zweigbergk is aiming to become the second player to win two Cash Game Festival trophies after previously winning one in Bratislava in April. Norway's Jon Kyte is the only player in history to snag one twice, once in London in September 2017 and again in Tallinn in April 2018.
Off the felt, players with the hospitality package will be treated to a VIP dinner at around 9 p.m.
The PokerNews Live Reporting is on hand to report on all the excitement, complete with player interviews and recaps, during the festival including today. Stay tuned as today's coverage will begin around just before the first feature table begins.
