The Bally's Black Hawk 2021 Colorado Poker Championship $1,450 Main Event drew 116 entries on Day 1c, the third and final flight of the tournament to bring the total number of entries up to 307. When play concluded at the end of the night, 21 players remained and added their names to Sunday's Day 2 roster alongside the 26 who advanced from the event's first two flights.

Jason Vanstrom (305,000) finished the day atop the counts, chipping up to just shy of that amount with four levels of play still remaining on the night. Nobody else caught him as the field largely remained bunched together through the final two-plus hours of the night. Tracy Allgeier (289,500) came the closest to doing so, exhibiting an impressive showing of his own after dipping well below starting stack during the opening levels of play.

Other notables to advance included Ryan Dodson (201,000), Phil Gioia (157,500), Matt Livingston (151,000), Vincent Moscati (138,500), and Ben Keeline (92,000).

The top two players on the CPC points leader board in Bobby Sanoubane and Jason Welch both failed to make it through the day, leaving the potential for those further down to overtake them. Corey Zedo, Danny Gonzales, Matt Johnston also were among those to fall short of a bag.

A total of 47 players will return to Sunday's Day 2, which will begin at 11 a.m. local time, one hour earlier than Day 1's noon start. The top 31 places will make it into the money, with plenty of room for play all day long as levels increase to one hour in length. There is no scheduled end time for Day 2, as play will conclude when the final table of nine is reached before playing down to a winner on Monday.

PokerNews will be back at it when cards go in the air. See you in the morning.
