Dixon Betting Minimum on River

Level 4 : 100/200, 200 ante
Rich Dixon
Rich Dixon

There was around 4,000 in the pot on a flop of {5-Spades}{4-Spades}{4-Diamonds} and Rich Dixon had a bet of 1,200 in front of him from middle position. Action was on Austin Peck, who was on the button and called. The turn came {9-Hearts} and Dixon fired another 2,000. Peck took a few moments and called.

The river fell {6-Clubs} and Dixon threw out two black T100 chips. Peck thought for a few seconds and then called again.

Dixon tabled {5-Hearts}{2-Hearts} for fives and fours with no kicker, which was good for a muck from Peck.

Shortly before the hand, Dixon eliminated Daniel Burke after betting 200 on the river. Burke went all in over the top of him for 16,000 and Dixon made the call with second pair. Burke had nothing more than a busted flush draw, finding himself with zero chips with which to play after Dixon made the call, successfully employing the "induction suction" to earn the knockout.

The following players have joined since returning from break. Among them is Steve Wilkie, who was supposed to be on a plane to Mexico this morning after chopping the CPC $1,100 Main Event with Nate Zoller for over $60k on Monday evening.

He has, however, decided to push back that vacation one day in order to try his hand at today's High Roller event.

Zipprich Rivers the Nuts

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Stephen Zipprich
Stephen Zipprich

Bobby Opila and Stephen Zipprich found themselves heads up on a board of {6-Spades}{a-Diamonds}{q-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Diamonds} with around 20,000 in the pot. Opila was in the cutoff and checked to Zipprich, who was on the button. Zipprich went into the tank for over a minute and proceeded to throw out a bet of 20,000.

Opila thought for a bit, crunching some numbers in the meantime. He set aside 20,000 and counted the remainder, which totaled 29,950. Eventually, he threw out a call.

Zipprich showed {k-Diamonds}{2-Diamonds} for the nut flush. Opila showed {a-Spades}{q-Clubs} for aces up, not immediately realizing that Zipprich had filled up on the river. The dealer pushed forward the three diamonds to denote the flush and he remarked to himself briefly before congratulating Zipprich on a great hand.

Palazzi Pushes Out Zipprich

Level 3 : 100/200, 0 ante
Wesley Palazzi
Wesley Palazzi

Mike Itoafa raised to 800 from the hijack and was called by Wesley Palazzi in the cutoff. Action folded back to Stephen Zipprich in the big blind and he three-bet to 3,700. Itoafa called and Palazzi did as well, bringing the flop {5-Spades}{9-Spades}{9-Hearts}.

Zipprich continued, putting out a bet of 4,000. Itoafa quickly folded to put action on Palazzi. After a bit, Palazzi threw out a raise to 15,000.

Zipprich quickly folded, flinging his cards face-up into the muck. It was shown that he folded {10-Spades}{10-Hearts}.

"Yeah," said Palazzi, breaking into laughter. Zipprich, Itoafa, and Palazzi all engaged about the play, prompting Palazzi to flash {a-Spades}{j-Spades} to Zipprich, showing that he had pushed him out with two over cards and the nut flush draw.

"That was dumb," said Zipprrich as the pot was sent to Palazzi, still laughing as he stacked his newly-earned chips.
