Gutierrez Applies the Pressure
Zach Gutierrez had chipped up via winning a few pots without showdown last level. One such pot saw him three-bet an open from Svetlana Martie where she told him that she felt like she had the best hand before folding face up. Gutierrez told her she made a good fold.
Just recently, he was in a hand with around 18,200 in the pot on a flop of and checked from the small blind to his opponent in middle position. The middle-position player bet 13,000 and Gutierrez check-raised to 35,000. His opponent thought for around three minutes and ultimately a clock was called on him.
After the dealer confirmed that the player had enough time to decide, he was told he had 30 seconds.
"You're either on a draw or a set, bro," the player said immediately after the countdown began. He then sat there thinking about his decision while he was told he had 10 seconds to act and eventually three seconds. His hand was then announced dead while he was in the process of folding and the pot was sent Gutierrez' way
"Your over pair's no good," said Gutierrez as he raked in the pot.
"You always tell players that they make great folds against you," said another player at the table.
"Everybody is playing excellent poker!" Gutierrez responded.
