Who Will be Crowned Champion of the 2024 Coolbet Open Tallinn Main Event?

2024 Coolbet Open Tallinn

A winner will be crowned today in the 2024 Coolbet Open Tallinn 550 Main Event and 27 players are still in contention out of a field of 504 entries to battle for the biggest slice of the 244,440 prize pool. The location will change from the Nordic Hotel Forum in Tallinn to the Chesterfield Poker Club right around the corner, as live-stream setup can be found in the main casino area.

While it is still everybody's game at this stage with a more shallow average, one player has distanced himself from the rest of the field after a late surge last night. Vadim Guk emerged as the comfortable chip leader with a stack of 1,725,000, whereas his nearest follower Steven Tool (1,065,000) is the only other player with a seven-figure stack at his disposal.

Six of the top ten players on the leaderboard hail from Estonia with Iceland, Sweden and Norway also in the mix. Daniel Axelsson could become the first Coolbet Main Event winner for his home country and sits in third place with 990,000, while Sweden's Seyed Tabaei is in sixth with 780,000.

Well-known Estonian regular Madis Mr is certainly one of the finalists with the most experience and returns fifth in chips with 850,000. However, among the 27 contenders is also one former Coolbet Open Main Event winner and that happens to be Kaido Mikk from Estonia. He is among the shorter stacks and returns with 360,000 in chips (18 big blinds).

The action is set to resume at noon local time with 49:14 minutes left in level 19 at blinds of 10,000-20,000 and a big blind ante of 20,000. From those still in contention, the bottom ten on the leaderboard have fewer than 20 big blinds at their disposal and the opening stages could be very frantic.

The 27 hopefuls have locked up 1,375 for their efforts so far with the next pay jump awaiting after the next elimination. Reaching the final table would come with a payday of at least 4,665 and the winner is set to take home a top prize of 50,000.

All PokerNews updates for the final day from the two outer tables and the feature table will be published according to the 30-minute security delay of the live stream action with cards-up coverage and commentary available on the Coolbet YouTube and Facebook channels.
