Day 2 of the EAPT Bratislava Main Event was a bit shorter than expected, at Banco Casino. But 16 players are not going to complain, as they qualified for the final day of the tournament.

They are the remaining players out of a field of 389 entrants. But find a spot on the two last tables wasn't an easy task, as 59 players had the same goal at the beginning of the day. The only one who had an easy day was Mario Alina, thanks to "a crazy run" during the last levels. In 20 minutes, he cracked aces and won a massive pot, then eliminated two players to become the undisputed chip leader of Day 2 with 2,435,000 chips.

In first place at the beginning of the day, Miklos Zsuffa (1,760,000) almost has one million chips less than Alina, and the same goes for Avraham Sisso (1,330,000). Antal Mezei (1,145,000), Ivo Zeravica (1,060,000), and Day 1a chip leader Rostyslav Sabishchenko (1,050,000) also reached the million.

And the gap is even smaller between Vili P?iv?rinta and Ioannis Giannakopoulos, who bagged the exact same stack (820,000). Same close situation with Lukasz Fraczek (355,000) and Day 1b chip leader Adrian Filip (345,000), who are the two shortest stacks of the field.

Play will resume at 2:00 p.m. local time with 35 minutes remaining on Level 20 (blinds of 10,000/20,000 and a 20,000 big blind ante). Then, the clock will keep running on 60-minute levels until the final table where levels will increase every 20 hands.

The PokerNews live reporting team will be covering all of the action on the way to crowning an EAPT champion.
