Peters Hits the Rail
Tobias Peters was left with just 3,000 from an earlier hand (According to his tablemates, he got the chips in with Qx10x on a board of Jx10x6x4x2x only to run into Mark Helou's KxKx) and moved all in from under the gun. Stepan Mikhno raised to 6,500 from the hijack and was called by Pavel Kovalenko in the cutoff.
"No bounty, why call?" Mikhno joked with Kovalenko before the 9?5?8? flop was dealt. Mikhno check-called a 10,500 bet from Kovalenko.
Kovalenko bet again for 33,000 when checked to on the 2? turn and this time it was enough to force a fold from Mikhno leaving Peters at risk.
Tobias Peters: 9?4?
Pavel Kovalenko: J?J?
Peters had flopped top pair but was in rough shape against Kovalenko's overpair. He found no further help on the K? river and was sent to the rail courtesy of Kovalenko who continued to add chips to his stack.
