Bonomo Catches River to Bust Laak

When we arrived at the table, the flop was {9-Hearts}{7-Hearts}{2-Hearts} between Justin Bonomo and Phil Laak. Bonomo checked the flop and Laak bet 4,200. Bonomo made the call and the turn brought the {6-Clubs}. Bonomo checked again and this time Laak fired 14,000. Bonomo check-raised to put Laak all in and Laak snap-called for his last 25,000 or so.

Laak: {J-Hearts}{8-Hearts}
Bonomo: {6-Diamonds}{6-Spades}

The river completed the board with the {7-Diamonds} and gave Bonomo a full house. Laak was eliminated while Bonomo climbed to over 200,000 in chips.

After the hand and after Laak had exited the tournament area, his buddy Antonio Esfandiari came over and asked, "Did Phil bust?" The table confirmed that he did and Esfandiari gave a cheerful, "Yes!" Someone at the table asked Esfandiari if he had bets against Laak. Esfandiari responded, "No, but I like to see him suffer," with a smile.
