Katchlov Leads Heading Into Day 2
Welcome back to PokerNews' coverage the Epic Poker League Main Event here in Las Vegas at Palms Resort Casino. After the 137-player starting field was whittled down to 63 players yesterday, the stage is set for an amazing Day 2 in front of us. What lies ahead could be a shot at the money bubble, although that's an outside chance to be reached today.
Leading the way into Day 2 is Eugene Katchalov. He bagged up a whopping 356,300 in chips yesterday and was the only player to eclipse the 300,000-chip mark. To round out the top five we have Ben Lamb (287,200), Brian Rast (260,500), Antonio Esfandiari (244,100) and Noah Schwartz (220,200). On top of those stars, plenty of other big names still remain in the field including Erik Seidel, Vanessa Selbst, Huck Seed, Jason Mercier and Isaac Baron.
Day 2's action is set to kick off at noon local time with another six 90-minute levels in store for the day. Be sure to keep your browser pointed right here to PokerNews for all the live coverage of this inaugural EPL event. Action begins shortly.
