Former International footballer Teddy Sheringham has emerged as a surprise contender for chip leader (or, at least, a member of the chasing pack) with circa 40,000 in chips. He came out smelling of roses after experiencing a deck so cold that it would make the Antarctic feel like a Swedish Sauna.

On a rainbow board of A-K-8-8-5, all the chips flew in to form a monster three way pot with Sheringham taking it down with quad eights. Remarkably, his battered and bruised foes revealed pocket kings and pocket aces and will be armed with a pretty good excuse when their wives ask why they've returned home so soon.
