Mehdi Slams One Home

Mehdi Ouakhir
Mehdi Ouakhir
Ricardo Sousa raises it up to 41,000 pre-flop and Mehdi calls from the big blind. The flop is {A-Spades}{4-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and Mehdi checks to Ricardo who bets out 65,000. Mehdi immediately slams a stack of 200,000 chips down on the felt which almost made the rest of his stack topple over, such was the force. Ricardo folded his hand quite quickly.

Two in a Row for Michael

Michael Shulze
Michael Shulze
First Ricardo raises it up to 42,000 and Michael calls. The flop of {J-Hearts}{4-Diamonds}{K-Clubs} is checked by both players but Ricardo bets 65,000 on the {6-Hearts} turn which Michael calls. The river is the {7-Diamonds} and again both players check. Michael shows {A-Hearts}{6-Clubs} which is ahead of Ricardo's {A-Spades}{Q-Spades}.

The next hand Mathias makes it 45,000 and Michael calls. Like the previous hand, the flop of {K-Diamonds}{9-Hearts}{10-Clubs} is checked. Michael then bets 60,000 on the {9-Diamonds} turn, which Mathias calls. The river is the {9-Diamonds} and is checked by both players. Michael shows {K-Spades}{Q-Spades} which wins, Mathias just shows the {10-Spades}.

Michael has now broken the 1,500,000-chip barrier.

?man Advertising

Christian ?man has gained the most real estate over the past ten minutes, stealing one raised pot away from Ricardo Sousa pre-flop and then making a bold bluff in a three-way pot against Mathias Viberg and Mehdi Ouakhir to steal another:

First to act with the board showing {6-Hearts}{4-Spades}{5-Hearts}{A-Clubs}, ?man bet 70,000 into a 145,000 pot that was raised pre-flop, chasing both Viberg and Ouakhir out of the hand. After his opponents folded, ?man revealed the {K-Diamonds}{Q-Diamonds} for the no-pair nuts. He's since chipped up to about 460,000 via a heavy dose of fearless, aggressive play.

River Action!

Christian makes it 33,000 from the button and Michael Schulze calls from the big blind. The flop is dealt {2-Hearts}{3-Spades}{4-Clubs}. Michael checks and Chris bets 47,000. Michael calls.

The turn is the {8-Hearts} and both players check.

Michael bets out 120,000 on the {5-Clubs} river prompting Christian to quickly move all in. Michael announces "call" straight away,

Michael {A-Diamonds}{6-Clubs}
Christian {A-Hearts}{6-Hearts}

Both players hit the gutshot on the river and the pot is chopped.

?man Squeezes a Winner

Michael Schulze opened the pot with a 30,000 raise from the cutoff. Ricardo Sousa called from the button, as did Mathias Viberg from the small blind. The action then fell to Christian ?man who opted to shove the rest of his chips into the middle, a bet which amounted to 283,000.

Schulze quickly let go of his hand and then it was up to Sousa who unhurriedly separated the additional 253,000 from his stack... two chips at a time. He then tanked for a solid two minutes, eventually letting go of his hand, then looked over at Mathias Viberg with anticipation, hoping he might make the call. He did not, and Christian ?man took down the 100,000 pot uncontested.

Juan Maceiras Doubles Up... Twice

Juan Maceiras has just gone from ~60,000 in chips to 280,000 in a matter of minutes after having moved all in four consecutive hands in a row.

The first three times he shoved all of his chips in, he took the blinds and antes down uncontested. On the fourth hand, he was in the big blind and the action folded around to Mathias Viberg, who opened with a 35,000 raise. Play folded back around to Maceiras, who took a peek at his cards and then yelled out, "Alright!" as he shoved his stack into the middle once more. Viberg asked for a count, which came to a total of 132,000 and eventually made the call, tabling a pocket pair of tens.

Maceiras cringed at the sight of Viberg's hand and sheepishly turned over the {A-Spades}{10-Spades}. "Ace! Ace! Ace! Ace!" chanted Maceiras' railbirds, who were rewarded with one right in the window. Unable to catch the case ten, Viberg counted out the 97,000 more he owed Maceiras as the Spaniard celebrated with multiple fist pumps.

Niclas Svensson Eliminated in Limpathon

Niclas Svensson
Niclas Svensson
Ricardo Sousa limped in UTG, Mathias followed suit and so did Mehdi. Niclas Svensson then pushed from the button. The blinds, Ricardo and Mathias all folded but Mehdi called after saying "I cannot let you take all that without a fight..."

Niclas {4-Clubs}{4-Hearts}
Mehdi {Q-Spades}{10-Spades}

The flop was {5-Spades}{8-Hearts}{5-Clubs} and Mehdi started calling for an eight. The turn was the {2-Spades} adding to Mehdi's outs. The river was the {8-Clubs} to counterfeit Niclas Svensson's two pair and he was eliminated in seventh place winning $119,911.

The short stack Juan Maceiras was delighted, stating, "I just won 20,000 in that hand and I was not even in it!" referring to the jump in prize money.
