Day 3 Concludes; 24 Players Remain

The action was speedy right from the get-go as players began to fall immediately. Team PokerStars Pros Sandra Naujoks and Jude Ainsworth failed to escape the first level, and they were joined on the rail by fellow-Pros Arnaud Mattern and Florian Langmann before too long.
Both Pieter de Korver and Marcin Horecki had roller-coaster days, with de Korver holding the chip lead for much of the day. His stack would be decimated by a few unlucky beats though, and the same goes for Horecki; they practically followed each other out the door with four tables left in play.
That leaves Luca Pagano as the last Team PokerStars Pro standing, and he too had to endure a real nail-biter of a day. Up and down and up he went before finding himself well below average with 25 players remained. Pagano was all in at his table when Jakob Carlsson was knocked off in 25th place, and Thomas Kremser called for the end of play as Pagano sweated his fate. He managed to win his final hand to earn a big double up just as play concluded. He'll begin tomorrow in the middle of the pack thanks to that.
Eyal Avitan was the man who knocked off de Korver a couple hours ago, and he rode that win to a monstrous chip lead. At the end of the night, he's bagged up 1,938,000 chips which will put him comfortably ahead of his nearest rival for tomorrow's push to the final table. We'll post the full chip counts just as soon as the bags are counted.
Speaking of tomorrow, play will resume at high noon C.E.T. once again. The remaining 24 will be back to war once again, and the spoils of victory will be one of eight seats at the final table two days from now. Join us right back here tomorrow to find out who'll be there come Sunday.
