First we witnessed him pick up a 28,000 pot when Thomas Quaade (cutoff) checked to him on the turn of a board. Ruthenberg bet 17,000 and after a few moments' uncomfortable contemplation, Quaade folded.
A few hands later, though, and Ruthenberg had to give some of those chips back to the table.
Jonas Mathiasen opened for 2,700 in early position and it folded around to Ruthenberg in the hijack who made it 7,200. Stefan Raffey in the cutoff, however, made it 17,500 to go. Mathiasen quickly got out of the way, and after a moment so did Ruthenberg. His expression remained impassive throughout.
