This Could Take Some Time

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

The tournament seems to have turned into a game of pass the blinds between our three remaining players, which unfortunately is not much fun for anyone involved!

Just now it looked as if we may see a flop, something that has not happened for the last eight hands, when Marcin Horecki completed the small blind, but Roberto Romanello raised to 500,000 in total, pushing Horecki out of the pot.

700k From a Limp-Checked Pot for Romanello

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Small blind Marcin Horecki limped, and big blind Roberto Romanello checked.

They saw a flop of {2-Hearts}{5-Diamonds}{10-Hearts} and a pattern began to form: Horecki checks, Romanello bets, and Horecki calls. On the flop the bet was 180k, on the {8-Hearts} turn it was 335k, and on the {9-Spades} river it was 205k.

The final bet prompted a slightly strange query: "Why so much?" from Horecki, but possibly that meant "why that much?" It proved irresistable to Horecki, after he had the pot spread, but he mucked when he was shown {Q-Spades}{9-Hearts} by Romanello.

Marcin Forwards

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

Marcin Horecki has been by far the most aggressive player at the table so far, and is up to around 6 million. Seeing as a few of those chips came from the stack of Roberto Romanello, there's really not much in it between the two of them for the chip lead.

Two hands in a row Horecki made an opening raise and just picked up the blinds and antes. The following hand Roberto Romanello riased to 300,000 but Horecki made it 720,000 to go from the big blind and Romanello gave it up.

The next hand Romanello got a walk, but the hand after that Horecki was back at it, raising to 245,000 from the button. Emilliano Bono called in the big blind, but they checked the {j-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{8-Clubs} flop and Bono check-folded to a 330,000 bet on the {9-Diamonds} river.

Acceleration From Dead Stop Three-Handed

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante

The first few hands of threeway play were walks. No raise, just quick pass-the-blinds. After about 15 minutes, however, they seemed to wake up, first seeing a flop (heads up between Romanello and Bono, limp-checked): {8-Clubs}{2-Spades}{6-Spades}. This went no further than a Romanello lead for 280k, though.

The next hand Romanello raised on the button to 300k, and Marcin Horecki called in the big blind. The flop came down {5-Spades}{3-Clubs}{3-Spades}. Out bet Horecki - 275k - quickly raised with a resolute double push of orange chip stacks to 1,275,000.

This was met with freeze for about 20 seconds, and a pass.

Peter Skripka Eliminated in 4th Place (163,000)

Level 30 : 60,000/120,000, 15,000 ante
Peter Skripka - 4th place is his
Peter Skripka - 4th place is his

Peter Skripka of Russia is our fourth place finisher after being eliminated at the hands of Team PokerStars pro Marcin Horecki.

The action folded to Horecki in the small blind and he moved all-in. Without much though Skripka called all in from the big blind and was at risk.

Horecki: {k-Spades}{10-Spades}

Skripka: {k-Hearts}{7-Clubs} - A rather loose call from Skripka but would it be rewarded?

Flop: {10-Clubs}{10-Hearts}{2-Spades} - The firm answer to the last question is no. Skripka could not have asked for a much worse flop!

Turn: {a-Diamonds}

River: {j-Hearts}

With that Skripka became our fourth place finisher, taking home 163,000 and securing 247,000 for the three survivors

Bono Doubles Up with Keeeengs

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Emilliano Bono

Emilliano Bono raised to 375,000 on the button. Small blind Marcin Horecki folded, but in the big blind Peter Skripka reraised a whole stack of green T100k chips. Bono said, "All in," ("Oll eeen!"), they agreed to get the chips in, and they were on their backs.

Bono: {k-Clubs}{k-Hearts}
Skripka: {a-Hearts}{7-Hearts}

Bono's lucky napkin went back on his head, and he paraded around the table crying out, "King!" ("Keeeng!") while the board was dealt.

Board: {5-Hearts}{3-Clubs}{10-Diamonds}{10-Hearts}{6-Diamonds}

Bono: "YEAAHHHHHHHHH! You PUSH! I CALL! YEAH!"

Bono doubled to 5.1 million. Skripka dropped right back to 2.3 million, and they headed off on break.

Marco Leonzio Eliminated in 5th Place (130,000)

Level 29 : 50,000/100,000, 10,000 ante
Marco Leonzio - our fifth place finisher
Marco Leonzio - our fifth place finisher

Marcio Leonzio has been eliminated in fifth place and picks up 130,000.

After the two hands described in the post below, Peter Skripka made it 250,000 to play, only to see Roberto Romanello make it 725,000. Emilliano Bono folded, as did Marcin Horecki but Leonzio called all in for 230,000. Skripka got out of the way and Leonzio was at risk.

Leonzio: {j-Spades}{3-Spades}

Romanello: {q-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds} - He claimed to have misread his hand

Romanello extended his lead as the flop came down {8-Clubs}{4-Spades}{7-Diamonds} and stayed in front as the turn and river fell the {6-Spades} and {2-Diamonds} respectively.

With Leonzio's exit, each of the players is now guaranteed to take home no less than 163,000
