Vinson Voided

Thomas Bichon raised to 36,000 to open the pot, and Ben Vinson three-bet shoved for about 360,000 from the small blind. In the big, John O'Shea would take several minutes to agonize over his decision. "Close..." he could be heard saying at one point, trailing off and talking to himself more than anyone else. Finally, he said, "Call," and pushed his ~415,000 chips forward. Bichon asked if it was a call or a shove, and O'Shea realized his mistake and pulled back the extra chips to leave himself with about 50,000 in front of him. It didn't matter, though; Bichon rainbow-folded, and Vinson was at risk as the cards were turned up.

"You got a pair?" Vinson asked.

"No... you got ace-king?" O'Shea answered with another question.

"No," was Vinson's answer, and he finally showed up his {8-Spades} {4-Clubs}. Meager though that was, he was drawing live against O'Shea's {A-Diamonds} {Q-Hearts}.

But not for long.

The flop brought an ace, and the board of {3-Clubs} {A-Clubs} {J-Hearts} {10-Spades} {Q-Diamonds} was all she wrote for Vinson. His day is done in 30th place, and he'll have the rest of the night off.
