Ruling Against Sarwer Works In His favour
Everything seems to have run extremely smoothly here at EPT Barcelona but just now there was the need for one of the tournament officials to step in.
The action folded around to Jeff Sarwer in the small blind and he simply completed. His opponent in the big blind raised it up to 2,200 and after a brief pause, Sarwer announced raise but only put in 2,200 worth of chips. Realising his mistake, he then took back the two red 1,000 chips and replaced them with a single yellow 5,000 chip, much to the dismay to some of his table mates.
The floor was called and it was ruled that Sarwer could now only make a min-raise, which he did and his opponent quickly called.
Flop:
Both players simply tapped the table and checked.
Turn:
Sarwer now quickly counts out a small tower of 6,600 chips and topples them over the line, which is enough to fold out his opponent.
A brief discussion after the hand saw all the players settle their differences and Table 8 is one big happy family once again. Awww!
