Laun Games
We got there just in time to see Andreas Wiese calling a fairly chunky bet (around 70,000, by our reckoning) from Bruno Launais on the turn of a board, and a river was dealt - the . Launais announced all in for 153,000, and Wiese commenced to tank, as the refrain from Bobby McFerrin's Don't Worry Be Happy, currently being used to alert players in the side events that their blinds are going up, came on across the speakers in the ballroom.
Wiese tanked up for some time, but eventually folded, dropping to 950,000 in the process. Launais, one of the most well-respected players in France who finalled EPT Deauville in 2009 and made a WSOP final this summer, finished the hand on 480,000.
