Day 3 Done & Dusted

Daniel Negreanu - up there
Daniel Negreanu - up there

And so, we are down to 24.

He was chip leader at the start of the day, and he is not far off at the end of it. Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu finished up the day with 1.954 million. If he goes all the way and takes the 700,000 top spot, he will just pip Phil Ivey to snatch back his place at the very top of the all-time tournament money list.

The only man beating Negreanu right now is online qualifier Konstantinos Nanos with 2.007 million. His biggest career live cash so far has been for 7,240 - first place in the 400 Turbo Bounty side event at EPT Tallinn - so even a min-cash here would have constituted his biggest ever live cash. He's had some poor EPT fortune - he bubbled EPT Berlin last year - but has enjoyed considerable success online, winning over $200,000.

Both of our chip leaders are going to have a tough Day 4 to get through. Still in the running are Negreanu's fellow Team PokerStars Pros Martin Hruby (Czech Republic) and Toni Judet (newly signed for Romania), as well as French powerhouses Bruno Launais and Jacques Zaicik, and British old school poker legend Surinder Sunar.

We'll be back at the Kursalon tomorrow from noon CET when our remaining 24 players will whittle themselves right down to an eight-handed final table. This is not a Day 4 you want to miss.
