It's the Final Countdown
Good morning and welcome back to the Kursalon Palace for the last time this week, as our final eight prepare to do battle.
Chip leader by a wide margin is Team PokerStars Pro Daniel Negreanu. This is only Negreanu's second ever EPT cash, but he could be looking at making poker history here today - if he takes down the 700,000 first prize, then he will become the third person to join the exclusive club of triple crown winners alongside Roland de Wolfe and Gavin Griffin. He will also regain his former position at the top of the all-time money list, currently occupied by Phil Ivey.
It's going to be a tough table to get through, though, featuring as it does Sunday Million winner Michael "MAE9690" Eiler, 2009 EPT Deauville finalist Bruno Launais and fellow Team PokerStars Pro Martin Hruby. Play is due to resume at noon CET (remember, the clocks went back so if you feel like it should have started already, be patient), and we'll bring you all the action from then.
