Minieri Stack So Small It's Nonexistent
Dario Minieri had only been seated at his table for a few minutes when he found himself abruptly ejected from the tournament. It was a slice of classic Minieri audacity that this time simply backfired when his opponent actually had the goods.
There was a mid-position limp before Minieri raised to 450 in the cutoff. The gentleman in the small blind called, the limper did too, and they saw a flop.
Flop:
It checked around to Minieri who bet 800. The small blind gent called, the limper gave it up, and they were heads up to the turn.
Turn:
Once again the small blind check-called, this time to the tune of 2,300, and they proceeded to the river.
River:
The small blind checked for the third time and this time the bet from Minieri was all in. Once more the small blind called and turned over for top two pair. Minieri's for a rivered pair of aces was nowhere near, and the diminutive Italian Team PokerStars Pro cheerfully bid his table adieu and headed for the door.
