Quadruple Double Ups

Level 22 : 10,000/20,000, 2,000 ante

A series of double ups now - everyone is just refusing to bust, it seems.

Rainer Emde Doubles Through Rocco Palumbo

Emde was so short when he pushed that it seemed worth Palumbo's while to call in the big blind with {3-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. Emde's {j-Clubs}{j-Hearts} held on the {6-Clubs}{5-Hearts}{k-Spades}{7-Hearts}{k-Diamonds} board and he doubled up, but on 140,000 after the event he is still desperately short.

Costantino Russo Doubles Through Roberto Spada

Spada's pocket nines were no good at all against Russo's aces; even less so when Russo flopped a set. Russo is up to 850,000 now, while former chip leader Spada is down to 1.1 million - still above average, but nowhere near the chip lead.

Leonid Bilokur Doubles Through Nicolas Yunis

Yunis raised the button and Bilokur shoved from the small blind. It took Yunis a little while to call but call he did with {a-Spades}{2-Clubs}, and it was an easy double up for Bilokur and his pocket {10-Spades}{10-Hearts} on a {6-Hearts}{k-Clubs}{7-Hearts}{5-Spades}{5-Diamonds} board. Bilokur is at 450,000 after that, Yunis still among the chip leaders on 1.65 million.

Max Heinzelmann Doubles Through Stefan Huber

Heinzelmann's {k-Diamonds}{j-Clubs} came good against Huber's {10-Hearts}{10-Clubs} when then board ran out {4-Clubs}{k-Clubs}{j-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}{7-Spades}. They're at roughly half a million apiece after that, but they're moving in opposite directions.
