New Venue For Day Five

Level 24 : 15,000/30,000, 3,000 ante

The three tables have been moved into the theatre. There is a restriction of 100 people due to fire regulations which makes you wonder why they bothered to install 400 seats. Either way it has reduced the atmosphere to absolute silence. Here are the first few hands from two of the three tables.

Hand 1

Massimiliano Manigrasso was the first person to raise in the theatre. He made it 65,000 from early position and the action didn't have to go very far before the pot got somewhat larger. Andrew Teng is seated to Manigrasso's direct left and he three-bet to 171,000 and when it folded around to Manigrasso he also folded.

Hand 2

On the other table the flop of {5-Diamonds} {7-Clubs} {a-Clubs} was already laid out on the felt whilst the Teng/Manigrasso hand was being played. The two players involved in the hand were Joe Cada (hi-jack) and Max Heinzelmann (cut-off) and they both checked. The turn was the {5-Hearts} and Cada took down the 150,000 pot with a 112,000 bet.

Hand 3

Xuan Liu raised to 60,000 on the button and Costantino Russo defended his big blind. We saw a flop of {q-Clubs} {8-Hearts} {7-Hearts} and a 77,000 lead by Russo won the pot.

Hand 4

Nicola Grieco raised to 90,000 from middle position and Fabrizio Cataldi defended his big blind. We had a flop of {9-Clubs} {9-Diamonds} {k-Diamonds} and Cataldi came out fighting with a bet of 87,000. Grieco didn't take too kindly to the aggressive assault by Cataldi and he raised to 200,000. Cataldi didn't even look at his opponent, his mind was already made up, as he re-raised to 345,000. Grieco asked Cataldi for a count before eventually folding his hand.
