Jani Sointula eliminated in 4th place (80,000)

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

Jani Sointula didn't hold onto those newly acquired chips very long. Ronny Kaiser wanted those chips back and he got them!

Sointula raised to 60,000 and then moved all-in for over 900,000 when Kaiser three-bet to 145,000. Call.

Sointula: {a-Spades}{k-Diamonds}
Kaiser: {7-Hearts}{7-Spades}

The board ran {9-Spades}{8-Spades}{6-Diamonds}{4-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Kaiser celebrated on the rail with his supporters. Sointula took his defeat very well and wished everyone the best before heading off.

Sointula Doubles Up

Level 25 : 15,000/30,000, 4,000 ante

After being knocked down to around 12 big blinds in this hand Jani Sointula has been looking to get his chips in and get that all important double up.

He shoved two hands ago and received no callers but when Ronny Kaiser opened to 50,000, Sointula three-bet shoved for 457,000 from the big blind. After around a minute of play Kaiser said, "OK" and made the call.

Sointula: {a-Hearts}{4-Hearts}
Kaiser: {k-Hearts}{j-Spades}

The final board ran out {4-Clubs}{q-Clubs}{6-Clubs}{6-Spades}{8-Hearts} and Sointula doubles to almost one million chips.

Monster pot leaves Sointula short

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Jani Sointula is down to 430,000 chips after losing a 1.7 million pot to Grzegorz Cichocki.

The Finn raised to 50,000 from the button and and Cichocki peeled from the big blind to see an {8-Spades}{j-Clubs}{10-Spades} flop. Sointula continued for 48,000 but was check-raised up to 137,000 by his Polish opponent. Call.

The turn and river came as {3-Diamonds} and {q-Clubs} and Cichocki led for 227,000 and 437,000 and Sointula called both bets but mucked upon seeing Cichocki's {7-Spades}{9-Spades} for a straight. What a flop for him!

All the chip counts coming right up.

Kaiser Continues To Dominate Cichocki

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Ronny Kaiser seems to have the measure of Grzegorz Cichocki and is continuing to run him over in a battle of the big stacks.

The latest battle saw Kaiser raise to 52,000 from the small blind and Cichocki make the call in the big blind. The flop came down {k-Spades}{3-Spades}{10-Spades} and Kaiser quickly bet 55,000. Just as quickly his opponent called and the dealer got busy putting out the {a-Diamonds} on the turn. Kaiser now slowed down and tapped the table to check. Cichocki checked behind and the action was exactly the same when another ace, the {a-Clubs} landed on the river.

Kaiser:{7-Hearts}{7-Diamonds}
Cichocki: mucked

Sointula Takes On Cichocki Again

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Jani Sointula has become more active over the last few orbits and he does not seem fazed by the huge stack that Grzegorz Cichocki has in front of him and is willing to take him on.

It was Cichocki who opened to 48,000 from the cutoff and only Sointula, in the small blind, made the call. Both players checked the all diamond {9-Diamonds}{5-Diamonds}{8-Diamonds} flop but Sointula came out betting when the {10-Spades} landed on the turn. His bet was for 75,000 and it was very quickly called by Cichocki. The river was the {K-Spades} and Sointula saw no reason to slow down, in fact he increased his bet size dramatically, making it 185,000 to play. This was enough to fold out Cichocki and Sointula scooped the pot.
