Alexander Roumeliotis raised to 1,400 in middle position and the cigar munching Sam El Sayed three-bet to 3,575 on the button. Roumeliotis had a long hard think before finally moving all-in and El Sayed asked for a count before eventually folding.
I saw Kevin Stani looking gloomy outside the tournament room and feared the worst. The reigning EPT Tallinn champion confirmed he was out. He got the last of his chips in with ace-king but couldn't win the race against his opponent's pocket jacks.
Team PokerStars SportStar Fatima Moreira de Melo is down to 15,925 after leaving over half her stack in the middle before folding.
She was up against Finnish high-stakes cash game player Sami Kelopuro. He raised to 1,500 and called when she three-bet to 3,600 in position. The flop came and Kelopuro check-raised her 4,600 c-bet up to 11,800.
Her response was to raise to 22,000. Kelopuro then wasted little time in setting her in for the rest but she had to admit defeat and folded.
Yesterday we wrote a post called The Silver Bling Bling Girl where we mentioned the amount of diamonds Annette Obrestad seemed to be wearing. Moments ago she was eliminated after her faithful diamonds let her down. We didn't see the hand but intrepid player/reporter Rupert Elder filled in the gaps for us.
There was a raise from Raigo Aasmaa and a cold call before Annette Obrestad jammed for around 15,000. Aasmaa re-jammed and the cold caller folded leaving a two way showdown.
Aasmaa
Obrestad
The flop contained no hope for Obrestad and she was eliminated early on day 2.
