Tureniec Loses Ground
Michael Tureniec, the reigning EPT Copenhagen Champion, has lost a little bit of ground early on here in Tallinn after clashing with Anders Berg.
Everyone folded around to Berg in the cutoff seat and he raised to 400. Tureniec, next to act, three-bet to 1,100 which was enough to fold out the blinds but Berg called. The was met with a very quick check by Berg but Tureniec took more time to make a bet of 1,650. Thirty seconds later Berg called.
The turn was another club, this one the and Berg seemed to like it as he quickly bet three red chips worth a total of 3,000. Tureniec was very methodical in first checking his cards then picking up the necessary chips to make the call, before placing them in a neat stack in the middle of the felt.
The river brought the into play and Berg quickly bet again, this time 7,000. Tureniec sat motionless for more than a minute, and then another minute before flicking his cards towards the dealer, leaving Berg to pick up the pot.
Tureniec down to 24,500.
