Amak Hits a "Magic" River
We didn't see the whole hand play out, only walking up in time to hear Amit Makhija committing the last 21,300 of his chips to the pot. There was only about 6,000 in the middle, a board of , and Daniel Pelletier had matched Makhija's shove.
Makhija showed up for the nuts, and Pelletier made a motion to table his hand, which he apparently thought was superior. Halfway through the process, though, he noticed that Makhija had made the nuts, and he froze. "Magic f***in' river, huh?" he asked. "Magic f***in' river."
Makhija just quietly raked in the double, and he's moved up just shy of 50,000 now. Pelletier is down to just about 10,000.
