Big Pot, No Flop
Level 7
: 2,000/4,000, 500 ante
Much action in poker does not necessarily mean seeing cards being dealt on the board. Luke Schwartz and JC Alvarado just proved that with some crazy preflop action.
It was Schwartz who made the first move with a 8,000 raise in the cutoff position and Alvarado contradicted by re-raising to 22,000. Action folded back to Schwartz who increased to 40,000.
Alvarado had to think over this one for a while to finally fire a five-bet of 68,000. The stack grew too big for Schwartz and he folded.
