Robert Rohr's In Front

Level 2 : 75/150, 0 ante

Some poker players say you should gamble it up early in a tournament in order to accumulate a big stack whilst other say tight is right. If you ask Robert Rohr then he will almost certainly go for the first option.

We joined the action on a {6-Spades}{7-Clubs}{j-Spades} flop where Nedzib Suman had checked from the small blind, Robert Rohr bet 500 from middle position and Walter Beckmann called from the hijack. With the action back on Suman he made it 1,850 to play then Rohr pulled back his original bet before replacing it with chips worth 4,100. Beckmann got out of the way but Suman asked how many chips his now sole opponent held.

"Around 12" came the response.

Shortly afterwards Suman had moved all in and was instantly called.

Suman: {5-Spades}{4-Spades}
Rohr: {7-Spades}{3-Spades}

The turn was the {5-Hearts} and the river was the {2-Spades} completing an unnecessary flush for Rohr and he flies up the chi counts early doors.
