Clock Called
Now that the stacks are fairly deep, action has slowed considerably. To make matter worse, the players are taking more than their fair share of time making decisions.
In a recent hand, Alexander Kopylkov opened for 6,000 under the gun only to have Brandon Barnes three-bet to 20,000 one seat over. Benn Spindler then came in with a four-bet to 42,500 from the cutoff, and Kopylkov thought for a solid two minutes before folding his hand. Barnes then thought for another two minutes before five-betting to 100,000, and it was Spindler's turn to take his time.
Several minutes passed while Spindler thought things over, and eventually Franck Kalfon had enough and called for a clock. The floor person made his way over and informed Spindler that he had one minute to act on his hand. After 50 seconds of it had passed, the floor began a ten-second countdown, and when he got to "eight," Spindler finally folded.
