Six-Bet Fold, Really?
It's not often one gets to see a six-bet, fold. Sebastian Sturmer did just that in a hand versus Jason Lavallee.
The German player opened to 20,000 from under the gun and the action folded around to Lavallee on the button who three-bet to 47,000. The blinds folded so the action was back on Sturmer who put in a four-bet to 120,000.
Lavallee had an answer to that and it was to five-bet to 185,000. Strumer asked how much the Canadian had back and when he found out it was around 650,000 he six-bet to 300,000. Lavallee thought for a moment and then announced he was all in.
There was no immediate call from the Strumer and that prompted Lavallee to say, "No shame in folding!"
"I'm strong" came the reply.
Another minute went by and Strumer gave up and folded whilst flashing . Lavalle made sure no one was looking behind him, squeezed his cards, and flashed . The Canadian is having a very strong day where he's won almost every pot he's played.
