Flush Over Flush Benefits Perkins
It looks like Bill Perkins' decision to re-enter was a good one as he was just on the good end of a flush-over-flush hand.
We didn't catch all the details, but we do know the board read when both players got 75,000 in the pot. When the completed the board on the river, there was a bet of 80,000 (by which player we're not sure) and a call.
Jouhkimainen tabled the for a king-high flush, but unfortunately for him it was no good as Perkins held the for an ace-high flush.
In the very next hand, a player opened for 2,600 and Perkins three-bet to 5,000 from the cutoff. Jouhkimainen then four-bet to 13,000 from the button, the blinds and original raiser folded, and Perkins made the call. Both players proceeded to check the flop, the turned and Perkins bet 10,000. Jouhkimainen popped it to 22,000, Perkins tank-called and the completed the board on the river. Perkins slowed down with a check and then folded when Jouhkimainen bet 40,000.
