Silver Gets The Best of Schemion (Again)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

With characters like Schemion and Silver at the same table, both with stacks, you could imagine action. Both gentleman haven't disappointed and battled it out with each other on several occasions. So far Silver had the best of Schemion, despite being out of position most of the time.

Schemion opened the button just now and Silver defended his big blind. Silver check called a 65,000 continuation bet from Schemion on {J-Hearts}{5-Hearts}{7-Clubs}. The turn brought another jack with the {J-Clubs} and Silver now lead for 108,000. Schemion raised it up to 255,000 and Silver made the call.

The river was the {9-Hearts} and Silver checked to his German opponent. Schemion thought for some time before checking behind. Silver showed his {J-Diamonds}{4-Diamonds}, Schemion mucked.

Stephen Chidwick
Stephen Chidwick

He came to prominence as the satellite monster and then got himself a pretty-much permanent seat around final tables at the WSOP. But this week in Prague, where he has made the Eureka final table and is still going strong in the Main Event, Stephen Chidwick can really come of age. PokerStars Blog reports.

Silver Eliminates Pietrzak

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Piotr Pietrzak
Piotr Pietrzak

Max Silver opened the hijack to 52,000 and found two callers; Stephen Chiwick in the cutoff and Piotr Pietrzak in the big blind. The Polish player checked to Silver on {A-Clubs}{2-Spades}{4-Hearts}. Silver made a 66,000 continuation bet and Chidwick made the call.

Pietrzak counted out a call, but eventually just shoved all in for 369,000. Silver wasn't all that scared and looked him up, Chidwick folded. Pietrzak had the lesser hand with {A-Spades}{9-Diamonds} since Silver had {A-Hearts}{10-Hearts}.

The {5-Clubs} on the turn opened the possibility of a chopped pot but the {5-Spades} wasn't one of those out. The last Polish player exits the tournament, 23 remain.

Radek Stockner Doubles Through Anders Dahlin

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Radek Stockner
Radek Stockner

Georgios Sotiropoulos opened to 43,000, Radek Stockner flat called on the button only for Anders Dahlin to three-bet to 126,000 from the small blind. The original raiser folded but Stockner stuck around to see a {6-Clubs}{8-Diamonds}{A-Hearts} flop. First to act, Dahlin bet 104,000 and Stockner made the call.

On the {9-Hearts} turn Dahlin wanted a count of Stockner's chips, the Czech player pushed them over the betting line so the dealer could cut them down, but Andrew Chen told them to take them back lest it go as a bet. His stack was cut down, but as per tournament rules the staff can't tell another player the exact stack of another player. Regardless, Dahlin could now see that Stockner had around 455,000 back. Dahlin then announced all in and Stockner snap called.

Dahlin: {A-Diamonds}{K-Spades}
Stockner: {8-Clubs}{8-Spades}

Stockner had an unbeatable hand and the meaningless {10-Spades} completed the board, after that hand Dahlin is down to 235,000 whilst Stockner is up to

Schemion and Silver Battle

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante

Ole Schemion opened the button to 55,000 and Max Silver in the big blind made the call. Silver check called the 70,000 continuation bet on {K-Spades}{2-Spades}{9-Hearts} and both players checked the {3-Spades} on the turn.

The river brought a fourth spade to the board: {7-Spades}. Silver checked for the third time in a row and Schemion casually bet 155,000. Silver had bigger plans though and slid a big stack of yellow 25,000 chips over the line. Before a count was made, Schemion had already mucked his hand and they went on to the next hand.

Sotirios Koutoupas Eliminated in 25th Place (24,900)

Level 24 : 12,000/24,000, 3,000 ante
Sotirios Koutoupas
Sotirios Koutoupas

We're down to the final three tables here in Prague as Sotirios Koutoupas is out in 25th. From the hi-jack Andrew Chen opened to 50,000, then from the small blind Koutoupas moved all in for 411,000. Back on Chen he got a count, tanked and then drop a 25K chip over the line to signify a call.

Koutoupas: {Q-Diamonds}{10-Diamonds}
Chen: {K-Hearts}{Q-Hearts}

The {5-Clubs}{J-Spades}{7-Clubs}{4-Spades}{2-Hearts} board kept Chen in front and he sent Koutoupas to the rail in 25th place. They'll now be a short break as the players re-draw for the final three tables.
