Sighing Samir
Vanessa Selbst fired out five red T1,000 chips on a board of . Frenchman Samir Merah let out a sigh, then raised to 15,000. Sebst dipped deep into the tank, and while she thought, Merah rechecked his cards, sighing once again.
Selbst reached for chips, grabbed two blue T5,000 checkers, and tossed them forward.

Selbst ripped her earbuds out and stared at the board. While the wheels were churning in her head, Merah dramatically checked his cards one last time. When he was done looking, he slammed his card protector back on top of them.
"Twenty-nine?" Selbst asked the dealer.
The dealer nodded.
Selbst turned her attention to Merah briefly, then made the call. Merah tried to table his cards as fast as possible, fumbling his chip protector before finally showing for Broadway.
The Team Pro shook her head, then tossed her cards into the muck. About 30 seconds after the hand was over, Merah started to laugh.
"Excuse me for the bluff," he said in a thick French accent.
