Day 2 Action About to Kick Off
After two starting starting flights and 912 total entries, the fields are finally ready to combine for Day 2 action here at the Season 9 European Poker Tour Berlin Main Event. Ronny Voth finished as the Day 1a chip leader and is the man to catch as he'll be bringing a stack of 196,100 into play today.
While Voth may hold the largest stack, the name on everyone's lips is that of three-time World Series of Poker bracelet winner Michael "The Grinder" Mizrachi. Mizrachi finished as the Day 1b chip leader and is coming into Day 2 fourth in chips. The Grinder has never cashed on the EPT so he'll be looking to further his lead today and propel him into a cash and a potential championship run.
Other notable players to return to the felt today include Sam Grafton (135,900), Calvin Anderson (130,000), Marc-Andre Ladouceur (98,000), Ivan Demidov (97,300), Vanessa Selbst (94,800), Tobias Reinkemeier (81,800), Martin Hruby (79,900), Scott Seiver (70,100), Bryn Kenney (55,200), Marvin Rettenmaier (47,500), Olivier Busquet (47,100), and past EPT Berlin champion Kevin MacPhee (34,900).
Play will kick off at 12:00 CET here at the Grand Hyatt Berlin. Be sure to stay tuned to PokerNews as we bring you all of the latest updates from the felt!
