Thomas Rivers an Ace
Level 9
: 600/1,200, 200 ante
On a final board of Konstantin Puchkov checked it over to Julian Thomas. They had been involved in a number of pots and Puchkov always seemed to get the better of the German. It didn’t look as if there had been a whole lot of action down the streets and now Thomas made a small bet of 1,500. Thomas turned over but it was no good as Puchkov had for two pair. “Why the ace?” Said a frustrated Thomas. Zimnan Ziyard said, “You’re very brave to open the that river against him.” No one disagreed.
