Abdellatif In His Element
Jonathan Abdellatif might not ring a bell for most readers, but people active in the Belgian poker scene surely have heard of him. We don't call him Shirley, we call him a Belgian serial casher. He's cashed in lots of tournaments in his home country and already cashed here this week as well, 8th for €4,230 in the €1,000 Turbo 8 Handed tournament.
Abdellatif started out with 76,600 this morning but has about three times that right now. Abdellatif is by far the chattiest person at the table, something that happens to him more often than not.
He told us he didn't just win one big pot, so we assume he won a lot of smaller ones. The biggest pot he won was the one where he knocked out Robert Auer. The German regular, who qualified for this tournament online, shoved over a hijack minimum raise open. Abdellatif woke up with kings behind him and had one of the easier decisions in his life. Abdellatif won from and Auer made his exit while the Belgian up and comer started stacking again.
