We had a ton of fun during the conclusion of the eleventh season of the European Poker Tour, and here are our highlights and bloopers!
Hand #114: Charlie Carrel called from the small blind, and Andrey Andreev checked in the big. Carrel check-folded on .
Hand #115: Imad Derwiche opened for 200,000 under the gun, and Steve O'Dwyer called from the big blind. Both players checked , and O'Dwyer bet 250,000 on the turn. Derwiche folded.
Hand #110: Charlie Carrel raised to 175,000 on the button and Andrey Andreev called from the big blind. Andreev check-folded to a bet of 150,000 on the flop.
Hand #111: Carrel raised to 150,000 from the cutoff and Andreev called from the small blind. The latter then check-called a bet of 200,000 on the flop before check-calling bets of 300,000 each on the turn and river. Carrel tabled the and Andreev mucked.
Hand #112: Carrel raised to 150,000 under the gun, Imad Derwiche called from the big blind, and the flop fell . Derwiche check-called a bet of 200,000 and then moved all in for 650,000 on the turn. Carrel folded.
Hand #113: Andreev limped under the gun, O'Dwyer did the same from the button, and Derwiche called from the small blind. Carrel checked his option in the big and all four players saw a flop of . Three checks saw O'Dwyer bet 130,000, Derwiche folded, and the other two players called.
All three players then checked the turn and Carrel fired out 375,000 on the river, which prompted Andreev to fold.
"Why so much?" O'Dwyer asked suspiciously. He eventually made the call and was shown the by Carrel.

Hand #103: Max Altergott moved all in for 270,000, and nobody called.
Hand #104: Andrey Andreev called under the gun, and Steve O'Dwyer made it 185,000. Charlie Carrel called from the small blind, as did Andreev. The flop came , and action checked to O'Dwyer, who bet 375,000. Carrel made it 800,000 and got two quick folds.
Hand #105: O'Dwyer called under the gun, and the blinds entered for the minimum. Everyone checked the flop, and the blinds checked to O'Dwyer with the board reading on fourth street. He bet 150,000 and won the pot.
Hand #106: Andreev completed the blind, and O'Dwyer made it 200,000. Andreev called, and both checked the . Andreev bet 200,000 on the , and O'Dwyer folded.
Hand #107: O'Dwyer pushed all in from the small blind, and Imad Derwiche folded.
Hand #108: Altergott shoved from under the gun for 240,000, and Andreev called.

Hand #97: Carrel raised to 125,000 under the gun and Imad Derwiche called from the big blind. When the flop came down , Derwiche moved all in and Carrel folded.
Hand #98: Max Altergott raised to 125,000 under the gun and Carrel called from the big blind to see a flop of . Carrel check-called a bet of 125,000, and then check-called one of 250,000 on the turn. Both players checked the river and Carrel showed the for a flopped pair. It was no longer good though as Altergott had gotten there on the river with the .

Hand #100: Steve O'Dwyer raised to 150,000 under the gun and Andrey Andreev called from the big blind. Both players checked the flop, and then Andreev bet 300,000 on the turn. O'Dwyer called and the same action repeated itself on the river. Andreev tabled the and O'Dwyer mucked.
Hand #101: Derwiche moved all in under the gun and won the pot.
Hand #102: Altergott raised to 125,000 from the cutoff and was met by a three-bet to 340,000 by O'Dwyer in the small blind. Altergott responded by moving all in and O'Dwyer called off for 1.52 million total.

It was a big flip, and the flop delivered Altergott a gutshot, and the turn gave him added flush outs. There were a lot of cards that Altergott could hit on the river, but the that appeared was not one of them. With that, Altergott sent the vast majority of his chips over to O'Dwyer.

The board ran out , and Sammartino was left with merely king-high, not enough to best the two eights.
So ends a remarkable run for Sammartino at EPT 11 Grand Final. Of the four biggest events, the High Roller, two Super High Rollers, and the main, Sammartino put together deep runs in three of them. He took the chip lead into the final day of the �100,000 Super High Roller and ultimately finished fourth for �709,500. In the main event, he took 17th for �51,350. This score pushes him past �1,000,000 in cashes at the festival.
